OfficeScan clients are unable to download updates from the OfficeScan server

Problem:	OfficeScan clients are unable to download updates from the OfficeScan server. This issue may occur in the following situations: • The client is in a remote location • The client software is installed on a laptop and is in roaming mode • The machine is a stand-alone OfficeScan client How can OfficeScan clients be configured to automatically download updates from the Trend Micro ActiveUpdate server if they cannot connect to the server?
Solution:	Public To configure OfficeScan clients to automatically connect to the ActiveUpdate server, do the following: 1. Open the OfficeScan Management Console then click Clients. 2. Select the clients you want to configure then click Client Privileges/Settings. 3. Under Update Settings, select Download from the Trend Micro ActiveUpdate Server and Enable scheduled update. 4. Click Save then Close. 5. Click Updates > Client Deployment > Automatic Deployment. 6. Under Deployment Schedule, select the frequency of the automatic update. 7. Click Save.

Beginilah pesan yang muncul jika log di event viewer sudah penuh.”Security Log on This system is full. Only administrators can log on to fix the problem”. Ya bener administrator harus membersihkannya, cukup menjengkelkan. Berikut ada trik agar log di event viewer ini tidak akan penuh :

1. Masuk ke Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Event Viewer
2. Di Jendela Event Viewer klik kanan salah satu item di kiri, misalnya Security lalu pilih properties
3. Kemudian centang pilihan berikut “Overwrite events as needed”

Mengembalikan Default lokasi my documents

Kalau sebelumnya kita bisa merubah penyimpanan default dari My Documents, sekarang gimana caranya untuk mengembalikannya seperti semula.

1. Masuk ke Windows Explorer
2. Klik Kanan My Documents
3. Klik Restore Default

Mengubah Lokasi Default dari My Documents

Trik berikut bisa digunakan untuk merubah default lokasi dari My Document ke Drive atau Partisi lain.

1. Masuk ke windows explorer
2. Klik kanan My Documents, pilih properties
3. Klik Find Target, arahkan ke Drive atau Partisi lain yang sudah kita buat misalkan : D:\My Documents

Nah otomatis setiap menyimpan dokumen akan mengarah langsung ke Drive D:\My Documents
